| MS Access FAQ in MDB format. (137KB ZIP File) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This was downloaded from compuserve and contains more questions than you see here, although I did add some in myself (the questions here). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| MS Access FAQ in HLP format. (1997KB Self extracting EXE File) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Microsoft FAQ for Access 2.0 | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| MS Access 2.0 Service Pack. (1923KB Self extracting EXE) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This will upgrade your Jet Database Engine to version 2.50.1606, you'll need to do this to run the latest OCX embedded objects, it also fixes a few bugs inherent in the original setup of Access. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| L/R Naming Standards Database. (24KB ZIP File) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This database, when opened will instantly run a report giving the Leszynski/Reddick Naming Conventions for MS Access. For more information why it's a good idea to follow these standards, click here. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Startup Database. (29KB ZIP File) This is loaded with goodies. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I use this myself, instead of just starting access, I start this database, it contains
a list of all my regularly used databases (rather than the last 4 on the file menu), from
there I can open the selected database or even go into maintenance mode and repair/compact
it. The db is not secured so you can go into design mode and see some of the techniques
used, particularly getting the Windows File/Open dialog to appear, A simple wizard, how to
open another database from within the first database, how to get a database to compact
itself and how to change the title bar text on the fly. This list of databases will appear in the following order, most recently opened first, then in decending order of popularity based on number of times that db has been opened. A note worth mentioning, I wrote this db some time ago, before I started using the L/R naming standards so I thought I'd better warn you before you start emailling me to practice what I preach. |

| Popups Database. (29KB ZIP File) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| A small mdb containing a few popup forms that you can call up from your forms to add
functionality and ease of use to your applications. For text boxes you can use the Zoom box, like [Shift]+F2 but bigger and with customisable font & font size / style selection. For numeric fields, there's a calculator that will return the result straight to your field. And lastly, for dates there's the calendar, just like the OCX one that ships with the ADT but uses no OCX. And there's no need for any programming on your part because I've done it all for you, just import all the objects into your database and you can just set a fields double click event property to a simple function call, e.g. =PopupCalc([MyField]). |
|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Popups Database - German Version (HTML Link) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| As English Popups but translated into German by Ulrich Denker. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Toolbar Resetter. (8.5KB ZIP File) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This database, when opened will instantly reset your toolbars to show "Where Appropriate" for when things have gone a bit adrift. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Domain Function Replacements (1.6KB ZIP File) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Replacement for domain functions, DLookup, DCount, DSum, DMax & DMin. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Tools.mdb - Another popup (32.2KB ZIP File) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Popup Calculator & Calendar like in popups.mdb but the popup form will popup next to the control it is launched from. This was submitted by Keith Altenhof Kaltenho@acs.ucalgary.ca | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Typical Access Application (11KB ZIP File) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Actually it`s a joke app but it shows what Access can do, it contains one form and has a scrolling marquee effect on it. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| TBLIB (198KB ZIP File) | As featured in PC Welt|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| A Rude Database? (22K Zip) | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
